This week, Reception enjoyed a special Values Day. Each class focused on a different value, with the children rotating between classes to explore them. As a year group, the children created a bright sunshine to represent letting their light shine and explored torches in the dark, learning that one light shines dimly but many together shine brightly.
In Tavy Class, the children explored trust through the Treasure Champs story The Three Fish and a game called Dragon’s Keys, where they practised trusting one another.
In Tamar Class, the focus was forgiveness. The children shared a story, discussed why forgiveness is important, and made forgiveness bracelets to represent kindness and good choices.
In Plym Class, the children learned about truth and honesty through an egg-sorting activity and the story Finn’s Little Fibs, sharing thoughtful ideas about why telling the truth matters.
