Online Safety

Our aim is to provide children with the information and confidence to use technology in a safe and effective way, through our computing and PSHE lessons as well as other incidental opportunities.

We continuously reinforce messages about keeping safe online including through:

  • Reinforcing key messages about searching safely online during lessons
  • Reinforcing key messages about keeping personal information private during lessons
  • Following up with individuals, groups and whole classes when something has gone wrong online
  • Celebrating Safer Internet Day annually
  • Providing regular information for parents through our newsletter about online safety

Further information about our online safety procedures can be found in our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.

Further information about staying safe online and reporting online abuse can be found by accessing the documents and links below. There are a number of guides from the National Online Safety Centre to popular apps and games which include the recommended age limits.
