Y2 Writing

Mrs Ottewell here - I was asked to visit Year 2 today to look at their end of unit write - instructions on how to make slime!

I am so thrilled for our Y2 team who have worked so hard this year with this cohort. In September they realised that many pupils needed to secure the foundations of letter formation and handwriting. They rose to the challenge ensuring consistent practice, clear modelling, special lined books and a relentless focus on mastering the basics.

Just look at the results! Amazing progress and pupils who are writing more fluently and showing real pride in the results.

A great reminder that consistency and high expectations make all the difference. Oh and yes … the rooms looked like something had exploded by the time all the glitter and sequins had been added !
